Good service, quick quote

I used Solar Savings to get a quote for a rooftop solar system. The free solar assessment was straightforward, and they connected me with installers pretty quickly. The financing consultation was helpful too. My only small issue was the initial follow-up call, which felt a bit rushed.

Easy process, clear options

I was looking into solar panel installation and found Solar Savings. The whole process was quite smooth. I filled out their online form for a residential solar assessment, and within a couple of days, I had multiple solar panel installation quotes. They explained the federal solar tax credit and net metering incentives clearly, which was a big plus. I ended up going with one of their recommended installers for a grid-tied system. The installer handled all the paperwork for the state solar rebates, which saved me a lot of hassle. Overall, it was a good experience for understanding my options without feeling pressured.

Got my solar info!

Needed to check out solar for my house. Solar Savings gave me some info on a home energy audit and even helped me understand the zero down solar financing. It was all pretty simple to do online. Just wish I got a few more options for installers in my area.

hey, is this whole 'solar savings' thing legit? like, are they just going to sell my info or actually connect me with installers?

R Renee Torres 2 months ago
Yeah, it's legit. I used them last year. They don't install themselves, just get you quotes from local companies. Got a few good options.

They're basically a middleman. Think of them like Angi or HomeAdvisor but just for solar. Your info does go to different installers but that's how you get quotes.

How long does it usually take to get the quotes back after I fill out their form? trying to get this done before summer.

J James Walsh 2 months ago
I got a couple of calls within a day or two after filling out the form. Pretty quick turnaround.

It was pretty fast for me, I think I heard from the first installer within 24 hours. The actual quote process with the installer takes longer though, they need to do their own assessment.

i saw something about a 40% saving, is that like a coupon code i can use at checkout or something?

P Paula 2 months ago
The 40% is probably talking about the federal tax credit plus maybe some state stuff, not a coupon. You apply for that after installation when you do your taxes.

No, it's not a coupon. The 'savings' they talk about are mostly from government incentives and what you save on your electric bill over time. No promo codes on this site afaik.

do they actually help you with the federal tax credit stuff, or is that all on me to figure out?

S Sam 2 months ago
They connect you with installers who can explain it, but the actual filing is on you or your tax professional. They don't do your taxes for you.

The installers they connect you with should be able to tell you how it works and what forms you'll need. But yeah, you gotta claim it yourself when tax time comes.

Do they actually do the installation or is it just a lead generation thing? wondering if I need to find installers myself later.

J June Patel 3 months ago
Nah, they don't do the actual installation. They connect you with companies in your area that do.

They just get you the quotes. You'll work directly with the installer they hook you up with for the actual panels and stuff.
